Heroin and crack cocaine haul found during house raid

Police recovered the Class A drugs after raiding a property in Aberdeen’s Sheddocksley area on Thursday.

A man has been arrested after heroin and crack cocaine worth more than £12,000 was found in a house.

Police recovered the Class A drugs after raiding a property in Aberdeen’s Sheddocksley area on Thursday.

Officers carried out the search in Lewis Road at around 12pm and found drugs with an estimated street value of more than £12,200.

A 29-year-old man, from Nottingham, is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday.

Detective sergeant William Murdoch, from Aberdeen CID, said: “Drug misuse brings nothing but misery to our communities.”

“I want to reassure people across the north east that we are using every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our streets and to deal with those responsible.”
