Girl, 15, sexually assaulted in Aberdeen as police launch investigation

Police have launched an investigation into the sexual assault of a teenage girl in Aberdeen.

Officers were made aware of the incident at around 1am on Sunday, September 20 near Gardner Road in the Kincorth area of the city.

Police have confirmed a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted.

A cordon was put up around the area, with officers still in attendance and enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson said: “Around 1am on Sunday, September 20, we received a report of the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl in the Gardner Road area of Aberdeen.

“Officers remain in attendance while enquiries are carried out. Anyone with concerns or information is encouraged to approach them or contact Police Scotland using 101.”
