Police have issued a fresh appeal to help track down a woman who has been missing for nine days.

Rachel McKinney was initially last seen getting off a bus in Dundee’s Crichton Street at around 3.05pm on Monday, December 9.

Investigating officers have now established that the 33-year-old, from Fraserburgh in Aberdeenshire, took a bus from Edinburgh Airport at 11.45pm on Sunday, December 15, and arrived in Dundee’s Union Street the following morning at 12.45am.

Ms McKinney, who is also known as Rachel Connor, has a recent facial injury to her right cheek and chin area. The injury is 'C' shaped and has a number of stitches.

Inspector Kerry Lynch said: "We would ask anyone who may have seen Rachel on the bus or who have spoken to her to come forward.

"We would also urge people who were in the area of Union Street or Shore Street in Dundee city centre in the early hours of Monday morning to think back and let us know if you may have seen her."

Ms McKinney has connections to the Fraserburgh, Perth, Aberdeen and Inverness areas.

Inspector Lynch added: "If Rachel sees this appeal herself, please get in touch with us or with your family or friends. We simply want to make sure you are safe.”
