Four youths charged over bus station assault

Four male youths have been charged over an assault, which took place at Elgin bus station.

Police were called to the station around 5pm on Wednesday following an assault.

Four male youths were traced on the town’s High Street and were charged in connection with the assault.

A spokesperson said: “We received a report of an assault at Elgin Bus Station around 5pm on Wednesday, September 2.

“Four male youths were traced in the High Street area a short time later and were charged in connection with the incident.

“They will be reported to the relevant youth justice authorities. Further enquiries are ongoing.”
