Google MapsDrivers travelling between Perth and Dundee face disruption for the next four weeks due to overnight roadworks.
Amey will begin a £1m programme of works on Wednesday to improve more than two kilometres of the southbound carriageway between Inchture and Rait Junction.
The roadworks will create a smoother road surface for the thousands of daily users, according to Amey, who is carrying out the work on behalf of Transport Scotland.
To allow for work to be carried out the A90 will be subject to traffic measures starting on September 30 until October 24.
Phase one will take place between 7.30pm to 6am each night on September 30 until October 2, where there will be overnight lane restrictions in place.
From October 4 until October 9 there will be an overnight convoy in place from 7.30pm until 6.30am every night.
During phase two there will be a 24/7 contraflow system in place from 6am on October 12 until October 23.
There will be overnight lane closures from 7.30pm to 6am on October 11 and on October 23 to set up and stand down the contraflow, respectively.
During the contraflow, access to Inchture A90 southbound on the slip will be temporarily unavailable, with a diversion in place via the B953 and Longforgan.
A90 southbound access to the Horn Restaurant, Perthshire Caravans, Middlebank Golf Centre and GoGolf will remain available via a signed diversion route using the Inchmichael southbound off slip.
All traffic management is scheduled to be removed by 6am on October 24.
Amey is encouraging drivers to plan ahead by checking up-to-date travel information and allowing extra time for their journeys.
