Four men have been charged after a cannabis farm worth £200,000 was seized in a raid in Aberdeenshire.

Officers attended the property in Tradlin Circle, Blackburn, at around 12.25pm on Tuesday after receiving reports of a possible cannabis cultivation.

Police confirmed an extensive cannabis farm of around 278 plants was discovered inside the property.

The farm had an estimated street value of around £200,000.

Four men aged 42, 34, 30 and 27 were arrested and charged in connection.

They are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Police Scotland is urging anyone with information regarding drugs in their area to come forward.

Sergeant Mark Adam said: “I would like to pass on my thanks to the community as this enforcement action was only possible due to information provided by members of the public.

“Serious and organised crime remains a priority, and we are committed to detecting and disrupting criminal activity. We rely on the public to provide us with information to help us to do so.’
