Four charged after £300,000 of ketamine and cocaine found in parked car in Aberdeen

Two men and two women are due to appear in court after officers uncovered drugs from a parked car in Aberdeen.

Officers approached a car in a car park in Great Southern Road around 7.45pm on Tuesday, September 1, where they found a stash of drugs.

Ketamine, worth an estimated £186,000, and cocaine, worth £115,000, was recovered from the vehicle in addition to a four-figure sum of cash.

Two men, aged 28 and 27, and two women, aged 28 and 26, were arrested and charged in connection.

They are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday, September 3.

Detective Sergeant Rachael MacLennan said: “This was a significant recovery which means a large quantity of drugs will remain off our streets.

“We continue to work in partnership to reduce substance harm in the North East and across the country.

“We work closely with Public Health Scotland, the Scottish Government, alcohol and drug partnerships and drug support services to raise awareness of the harms caused by substance use, as well as current or emerging trends which can detrimentally impact on these harms.

“Police Scotland is also committed to disrupting organised criminality in all its forms, including the supply of drugs in our communities. We can’t tackle this alone and we rely on the support of the public to help us build intelligence on any drug-related issues.
