Flock of sheep on AWPR brings rush hour traffic to standstill

Sheep have closed the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR) at rush hour.

Police are dealing with the flock that entered the A90 near the Kingswell slipway on the southbound carriageway.

The road was closed southbound of the Kingswell junction at 8.30am.

Traffic Scotland said the sheep are being escorted from the road.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area.
