Five youths have been reported after being found on the site of an unsafe and disused care facility in Blairgowrie.
Police were called to the vacant Rosemount Care Home on Thursday after reports of individuals in the building.
Five young people were traced, charged, and reported to a Youth Justice Assessor.
It comes amid recent efforts by Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to deter people from entering the site.
Authorities say it is “disappointing” that young people continue to access the building, which is in a hazardous condition.
“It is disappointing to see that young persons are continuing to attend this location”, a statement from Police Scotland read.
“We would like to emphasise that the current condition of this building including broken windows, damaged doors and unstable internal structures poses a significant risk to anyone entering them.
“In addition to this, anyone who chooses to enter these buildings places emergency service personnel at risk when having to respond to incidents and entering the premises to ensure that no persons are within.
“While our primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of all involved, it is important to highlight that should persons continue to attend these premises and attempt to or enter the building and/or cause further damage to the buildings would be a criminal offence.
“We ask that all parents/guardians/carers speak with the young persons in your care and re-enforce this message.
“Officers from the North Perthshire Community Team, will continue to patrol this premises and other vacant buildings in the area.”
