A five-year-old girl has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Aberdeen.

Officers were called to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle at around 3.35pm on Monday, on Provost Fraser Drive in the city’s Northfield area.

The little girl was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary “as a precaution” and the extent of her injuries is currently unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a five-year-old girl on Provost Fraser Drive in Aberdeen around 3.35pm on Monday, September 12.

“The girl was taken to Aberdeen Royal infirmary as a precaution.”
