Five men have been charged in connection with human trafficking offences in Aberdeen.

Police carried out warrants at addresses in the city centre on Wednesday leading to five men being charged.

The men, Cosmin Cristea, 20, Ionut Cristea, 32, Laurentiu Raducanu, 29, Cristi Serea, 32, and Danut Burcea, 34, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday, December 5.

All five faced charges under the Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Act 2015.

They entered no plea and were remanded in custody pending further examination.

They are expected to appear in court again within the next eight days.
