Five people have been charged after a disturbance at a Dundee tower block on Thursday morning.

Shortly after 7.45am on January 26, police were called to the Elders Court area in Lochee, Dundee.

A 41-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment following the incident and five people were arrested.

Police confirmed that three men, two aged 47 and another aged 43, and two women aged 38 and 23 have been charged in connection with the incident.

All of those charged are expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Friday, January 27.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a disturbance in the Elders Court area of Dundee shortly after 7.45am on Thursday, January 26.

“A 41-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.

“Three men, two aged 47 and another aged 43, and two women, 38 and 23, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

“They are all expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court today.”
