Firefighters remain at the scene of a forest wildfire for a fourth day.

The blaze in Culbin Forest, near Forres in Moray, was reported to the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) at 8.37am on Monday.

At the height of the incident six fire appliances were at the scene, while specialist resources, including a helicopter dropping water on the affected area, have also been involved.

Two fire appliances stayed at the scene overnight on Wednesday to monitor the situation and remained there on Thursday morning.

SFRS previously said the affected area measured around 2,500 metres by 2,500 metres.

The fire broke out amid an SFRS “extreme” risk of wildfire warning across Scotland, which was in place until Monday.
