Fire crews are tackling a “large blaze” within a recycling centre near Dundee airport.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it is on the scene of a fire affecting a large area within a recycling centre on Wright Avenue in the city.
Crews were called after 4am on Friday, with three appliances in attendance, and firefighters working to extinguish the fire.
Due to levels of smoke in the area, residents in Dundee, Newport and Tayport are advised to keep windows and doors closed.

A statement read: “We are on the scene at a fire affecting a large area within a recycling centre on Wright Avenue, Dundee.
“Due to levels of smoke in the area, residents in Dundee, Newport and Tayport are advised to keep windows and doors closed.
“We have three fire appliances in attendance and firefighters are working to extinguish the fire.
“There are no reported casualties.”
