Emergency service were called to Tayside Forestry after the blaze broke out just after 7pm on Saturday.

Fire crews have extinguished a blaze at a Christmas tree farm in Dundee.

The fire broke out at Tayside Forestry, on Templeton Road, at about 7pm on Saturday.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue service sent six engines to the scene.

Templeton Road was closed by emergency services while the fire was attended to residents in the villages of Muirhead and Birkhill were asked to keep windows and doors closed to avoid smoke inhalation.

There was no casualties as a result of the blaze.

One fire engine was kept at the scene overnight on Sunday.
