Fire crews are battling a blaze in the open at a country park in Fife.
Firefighters were called to the blaze in Garry Park Wood at Lochore Meadows Country Park at 3.14pm on Wednesday.
One fire engine was sent to the scene, with crews working to extinguish the fire affecting an area of gorse.
It comes amid a “very high risk” wildfire warning for the area and parts of southern and eastern Scotland from Wednesday until Monday.
Scotland is experiencing warm weather across the country, with long spells of sunshine and temperatures climbing into the high 20s later in the week.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 3.14pm on Wednesday, July 15, to reports of a fire in the open in Garry Park Wood, Lochore Meadows Country Park, Fife.
“Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene, where crews are working to extinguish the fire affecting an area of gorse.
“We remain in attendance.”
