Fire crews battle fire in field near housing estate

Fire crews battled a fire in a field near a housing estate in Fife.

Two appliances were called to the blaze off Cluny Road in Kinglassie at 9.17pm on Sunday.

There were no reported casualties.

The fire was extinguished at around 10.30pm, and crews left the scene.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 9.17pm on Sunday, September 21, to reports of a fire in a field on Cluny Road in Kinglassie, Fife.

“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the area, and a fire measuring 250m x 75m was extinguished.

“There were no reported casualties, and crews left the scene shortly after 10.30pm after ensuring it was safe.”
