A crash has left A92 roads towards Stonehaven closed in both directions.

A crash in Aberdeen has forced the closure of parts of the A92 in both directions with motorists told to avoid the area.

The incident took place between the roundabout at the Bridge of Dee and the Charlestown junction.

The crash is currently blocking both lanes.

Police Scotland confirmed that emergency services were in attendance at the scene and advised the public.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.40 pm on Friday, September 22, we were called to report of a crash on the A92 between Bridge of Dee and the Charlestown junction.

“Emergency services are in attendance.

“The road is closed in both directions and motorists are advised to avoid the area.”
