Emergency services called to hazardous material incident impacting industrial building

Emergency services were called to a hazardous material incident, which impacted an industrial building in Aberdeen.

The alarm was raised at Howe Moss Drive in the Dyce area of the city on Tuesday at 9.48am

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent two appliances and a Detection, Identification and Monitoring vehicle to the scene.

Fire crews left the scene at 12.48pm after ensuring the area was made safe.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 9.48am on Tuesday, September 8 to reports of a possible hazardous material incident affecting an industrial building at Howe Moss Drive in Dyce, Aberdeen.

“Operations Control mobilised two appliances and a Detection, Identification and Monitoring vehicle to carry out tests at the scene.

“Crews left the scene at 12.48pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
