Police confirmed that the driver of the Nissan Navara which hit the woman was uninjured.

An elderly woman was taken to hospital after being struck by a pick-up truck in Dundee.

Officers were alerted to the incident on Brook Street at Grey Street, Broughty Ferry, around midday on January 22.

The 80-year-old was was taken to Ninewells Hospital after being hit by a Nissan Navara.

Police said the woman has been described as in “stable” condition after the incident.

The driver was uninjured in the crash.

The force is now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Constable Mike Guild said: “As our enquiries continue, I’d appeal to any witnesses to this crash, or anyone with information that may assist to contact us.

“If you were driving in the area at the time and have any dash-cam footage that may be relevant, please get in touch.

“Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference number 2004 of January 22.”
