An eight-year-old boy was among two people who were taken to hospital after a crash in Angus.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Forfar at around 8.50am on Wednesday, November 23.

A white Ford Transit van and a red Toyota Yaris had collided near Dunnichen Road, Kingsmuir.

A 44-year-old woman and an eight-year-old boy, who were in the car, were taken by ambulance to Ninewells hospital and released following treatment.

The driver of the van was not injured.

The road was closed, and then reopened at around 12pm.

A Police Scotland statement read: “Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances.

“Officers are appealing for anyone who saw what happened, or who has relevant dash cam footage of the area at the time, to contact police.

“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0543 of November 23, 2022.”
