Police are investigating claims a person was raped in Dundee in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Officers were called to reports of a serious sexual assault in the Downfield area following the incident.
An initial investigation is at an early stage, Police Scotland said.
A spokesperson for the force added: “Officers received a report of a serious sexual assault in the Downfield area of Dundee on the morning of Saturday, August 26.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
