Man charged after cocaine and cannabis worth almost £200,000 seized

Police have seized almost £200,000 worth of drugs in an Aberdeen property amid ongoing raids.

Officers searched a property in Seaforth Road, Aberdeen, on Sunday where class A and B drugs were found.

The force confirmed that cocaine, with an estimated street value of approximately £190,000 and cannabis with an estimated street value of £6,000 were seized in the search.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences.

The man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday, December 14.

Detective constable Rob Graham of Aberdeen CID said: “We will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to prevent the sale and distribution of illegal drugs in our communities.

“This investigation underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

“Anyone with concerns about drugs and drug misuse should contact police on 101, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
