SGN has this week begun emergency gas repairs on an eastbound section of the A90 between Inchture and Longforgan.

The works, which started on Tuesday evening, have resulted in a 300m closure of the inside lane.

Drivers have been warned to expect delays and allow extra travel time, particularly with separate roadworks further down the A90.

It is not clear when the repairs will be completed and, for safety reasons, the majority of the work will be done outside peak travel times.

A spokesperson for SGN said: “SGN will be carrying out emergency gas repairs on the A90 Eastbound Perth to Dundee road between Inchture and Longforgan.

“The works will result in a single lane closure on the inside lane of the dual carriageway for approximately 300m of road with traffic management in place from Tuesday evening for everyone’s safety.

“Please be advised that this will impact traffic in the area with additional separate road restrictions already in place further down the A90, so please leave extra time for your journey.

“Our team are working hard to minimise the impact to local residents and commuters in the area.

“In the interest of safety, the majority of the works will be completed out with the main traffic peaks.

“It’s too early to say how long the repairs will take to complete – further updates will be posted here.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these works.”
