A woman who died at the scene of a crash between a car and a van in Aberdeenshire has been named.
The crash, involving an Audi Q5 car and a Ford Transit van, took place around 5pm on April 1 on the A98 near Craigmaud.
The 61-year-old female driver of the Audi, who was pronounced dead at the scene, has been named as Maureen Davidson from Mintlaw.
Her family have asked for privacy.
The three male occupants of the van were all taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The road was closed for approximately ten hours to allow investigations.
Sergeant Dave Cooper said: “Our thoughts are with Maureen’s family during this incredibly difficult time.
“Our enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash are continuing, and I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or was travelling on the A98 around the time of the crash, especially if they have dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation.”
