A driver has been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle crash on the A92 in Fife.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Kilmany at around 10.20am following reports of a collision involving a van and two cars.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched three appliances and a heavy rescue unit to the incident. Firefighters left the area after it was made safe.

One driver was taken to hospital for treatment. Vehicle recovery has been arranged.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.20am on Tuesday, July 29, we received a report of a three-vehicle crash on the A92 near Kilmany.

“Emergency services attended and one driver was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Vehicle recovery has been arranged.”

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 10.45am on Tuesday, July 29, to reports of a road traffic collision involving a van and two cars on the A92 near Kilmany in Fife.

“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and a heavy rescue unit to the scene, where firefighters supported emergency service partners.

“Crews have now left the scene after ensuring it was safe.”

A Scottish Ambulance Spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10.37am today to attend a road traffic collision on the A92. We transported one patient to Ninewells while another patient was treated and discharged at the scene.”
