A man has been charged after a van crashed into a railway bridge in Broughty Ferry.

Emergency services were called to St Vincent Street at around 12.05pm on Monday following reports that a van had crashed into a railway bridge.

On Tuesday, police said the driver of the van has been charged in connection with a road traffic offence.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following a road crash on St Vincent Street, Broughty Ferry on Monday, February 3, the driver has been charged in connection with a road traffic offence.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
