STV NewsA bus driver has been arrested after a double-decker crashed into a pedestrian crossing island in Dundee.
Emergency services were called to Craigie Drive after reports of a single-vehicle crash at around 4.10pm.
Images from the scene appear to show the island of a pedestrian crossing damaged with debris strewn down the street.
One of the passenger windows on the left side of the Stagecoach bus appears to have been smashed.
STV NewsStagecoach South Scotland said it was conducting its own internal review and took such incidents “extremely seriously”.
The road was shut between Strips of Craigie Road and Fairfield Road overnight but reopened on Wednesday morning.
Police Scotland said there were no injuries reported.
The bus driver, a 48-year-old man, has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and enquiries are ongoing, police said.
