A dog has been found dead wrapped in a child’s dressing gown and blanket on Monday.
Police were called to the Baldovie Road area of Dundee at around 5.55pm.
The dog was found wrapped in a child’s unicorn-design robe, puppy pad and a blanket inside a black bag within a wheelie bin in the Dighty Burn.
The animal was chipped, however, the chip is not believed to have been registered.
Police Scotland has confirmed that an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is at an early stage.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.55pm on Monday, April 7, 2025, police received a report of a dead dog found in the Baldovie Road area of Dundee.
“Enquiries to establish the circumstances are at an early stage.”
