Police are appealing after a pensioner was rushed to hospital after being struck by a car in a shopping centre car park in August.

At around 3.50pm on August 11, police were made aware of the collision which happened on level 4 of the Overgate car park in Dundee.

A 78-year-old woman was injured in the incident and she was taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance.

The driver of the vehicle, a Volkswagen Tiguan, was uninjured but left badly shaken.

The woman has since been released, and officers are continuing their enquiries into the incident.

Police said that several people came to assist and the area was busy with shoppers and motorists.

Officers are asking anyone who was in the area at the time, who hasn’t yet spoken to them, to get in touch, particularly those with dash cam equipment.

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2567 of August 11, 2023.
