A dangerous dog has been put down a month after two people were attacked in Aberdeenshire.

Police were called to reports of a dog which had bitten two people near Fawells in Kinmuck around 2.33pm on Friday, April 18.

Two people received medical treatment after emergency services responded to the incident in which another dog was bitten.

Officers say following consultation with the Procurator Fiscal, the dog has been euthanised.

Police say enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.33pm on Friday, April 18, 2025, police received a report of a dog had bitten another dog and two people near Fawells, Kinmuck.

“Officers attended and the two people received medical treatment.

“Following consultation with the Procurator Fiscal, the dog has been euthanised.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”

Anyone with information who has not spoken to officers is asked to contact police on 101.
