The collision occurred on the A923 near Coupar Angus at around 10.15 am on Thursday.
The road was closed, and the cyclist was taken to hospital for assessment.
The seriousness of their injuries is not known.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
The road has since reopened.
