Concerns are growing for a missing elderly woman who disappeared from Aberdeen two days ago.

Alice Mitchell was last seen around 11pm on Monday in the Forrit Brae area of Bucksburn.

Police described the 82-year-old as around 5’1 tall, with a slim build and short grey hair.

It is unknown what Ms Mitchell is currently wearing, however, police said she may be wearing a black bomber style jacket or cream jumper with zip at the front.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to come forward.

Sergeant Ross Geddes said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Alice’s welfare and it is important that we make sure she is safe and well as soon as we can.

“We are asking anyone who has seen Alice to get in touch with us immediately.

“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident 1131 on September 11.”
