Relatives of a missing man in Perthshire who was last seen two days ago say they are growing increasingly concerned over his welfare.

Alexander Riddell, also known as Sandy, has not been in contact with any known friends or family since the last sighting of him on Monday night.

The 63-year-old, from Auchterarder, was wearing slippers on his feet when he left his home address at around 8pm but never returned.

He was also wearing a checked shirt and dark jogging bottoms.

He is described as being around 5ft 8 with a medium build, brown eyes and a scorpion tattoo on his upper left arm.

Police say he has connections to the Crieff area and has access to a silver Hinda Civic Tourer with the registration 0E15 VRJ as they urge anyone with any information on his whereabouts to contact them as soon as possible.

Inspector Nicky Forrester said :“Alexander’s family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“If you have any information on his whereabouts or have seen him or the vehicle, please contact Police Scotland on 101.
