Multiple cannabis farms worth a potential street value of £400,000 have been seized by police in Aberdeen.

Acting under warrant, officers raided three properties between Friday 26 and Tuesday, June 30.

Police reported that hundreds of plants were recovered from the cannabis cultivation sites in View Terrace, Rosemount, Seaton Walk in Seaton, and Bedford Avenue in Kittybrewster.

Two men, aged 26 and 28, have been arrested and charged in connection with the recoveries.

Both suspects are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Detective sergeant Scott McKay said: “We are committed to detecting and disrupting those involved in the supply and production of drugs within the North East.

“These seizures highlight our continuing efforts to disrupt supply routes and protect those in our communities affected by the illicit drug trade.

“We rely on the support of the public to build intelligence on drug-related issues so that we can act on their concerns.

“I would urge anyone who is aware of any information about the supply of drugs to report the matter to police.”

If you are concerned about drugs in your area, call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
