Two girls have been rescued after getting into trouble near a river that runs through Angus and Aberdeenshire.
The Gannochy Bridge, near the village of Edzell in Angus, was closed while rescue teams dealt with the incident near the River North Esk.
A police spokesperson said: “Police were called around 2.10pm on Monday, 9 August, 2021 following the report of a concern for two female youths near the River North Esk, Edzell.
“Emergency services are currently in attendance. Officers are assisting with traffic management and the Gannochy Bridge is currently closed.”
