Police are on the hunt for three boys after an ice cream shop window was smashed and a worker assaulted.

The incident happened in Albert Square, Dundee, at around 4pm on Thursday.

Police said a window to the rear of the shop was smashed by the youngsters, who are believed to be aged between 12 and 15.

The schoolboys then went on to assault one of the employees outside the store.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We would like to trace three male youths, all aged about 12-15, and described as all between 5ft 4in to 5ft 8in.

“Two were wearing dark clothing and one was wearing a red hoodie.”
