© Google Maps 2025A 12-year-old boy has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Arbroath.
Emergency services were called to Lochlands Street at around 1.35pm on Wednesday after the child was struck by a blue Volkswagen Polo.
The schoolboy was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. The driver of the car was uninjured.
Investigations are ongoing, and police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant Mike Guild said: “Enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash, and we are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
“If you believe you can assist our enquiries, please call police on 101, quoting incident number 1754 of September 10.”
