Police ScotlandA body has been found in the search for a pensioner reported missing from Arbroath.
Alexander Beattie was reported missing on Sunday and was last seen in the Grange Road area around 1pm on Sunday, leaving his car, a red Nissan Micra.
Police were notified that a body had been found in the Carmyllie area around 10.05am on Monday.
Formal identification has still to take place, but the 87-year-old’s family have been made aware.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
