An arrest has been made in connection with an alleged serious assault in Elgin that left a man in a critical condition.
The incident occurred outside a business premises on the town’s Harrow Inn Close area at around 3.15pm on Friday.
Emergency services attended, and a 55-year-old was taken to hospital where medical staff described his condition as critical but stable.
Police confirmed on Sunday that a 28-year-old man has been arrested.
A statement from the force said: “A 28-year-old man was been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Elgin.
“Around 3.15pm on Friday, we were called to a report of a disturbance on Harrow Inn Close and a 55-year-old man was taken to hospital.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
