British Transport PoliceTransport police officers are appealing to find the owner of an urn lost on a train between London and Aberdeen.
British Transport Police officers say the small red urn is wrapped in purple and white artificial flowers and held by a small brown teddy bear.
It’s believed to have been left on an LNER service travelling from London King’s Cross to Aberdeen and was then handed into lost property upon the train’s arrival in Aberdeen.
Based on the information available, officers say it may have been lost at some point within the last four months.
BTP PC Gary Herning said: “The urn appears to contain human ashes or remains and will clearly be of enormous sentimental value to someone.
“Unfortunately, we have no further information on where the owner may have boarded or alighted during the journey.
“We’re issuing the appeal in the hope that the individual or family concerned will reach out to us so that we can arrange its safe return.”
