Detectives have launched an appeal to identify and trace a woman last seen walking towards the waterfront in Dundee.

The woman was last seen in the city centre area around 6.50am, walking in the direction of West Victoria Dock Road.

The woman is described as aged 16-24, around 5ft tall, of slim build, with long brown hair.

When she was last seen, she was wearing a beige, white, and black jacket, black jogging bottoms, and black trainers.

Sergeant Garry Miller said: “We’re increasingly concerned for this female’s welfare and are urgently trying to trace her to ensure she is safe and well.

“We know she was heading towards the waterfront when she was last seen but we’re keen to find out where she went after that.

“I’d urge anyone who recognises the female, knows where she is, or thinks they’ve seen her since early this morning to come forward.

“If the female sees this appeal, please make contact with police so we can make sure you’re okay.”

Those with information are urged to call Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0530 of March 20
