Pupils at a school in Aberdeenshire have been told to stay home due to “significant staffing issues”.
Students in S1 at Fraserburgh Academy were asked to make use of online learning platforms Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams on Thursday.
In a message to parents and carers on Wednesday, the school cited seasonal illness and “a spell of understaffing” as reasons for the decision, noting that recruitment is under way.
The message added: “We will be welcoming S1 students back to school as normal on Friday.”
Aberdeenshire Council has been contacted for comment.
