A beach in Aberdeen has reopened after a suspected unexploded device was discovered on Tuesday.
Officers were called to a report of suspected ordnance on Aberdeen Beach Esplanade around 9.25am.
Police and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) were sent to the scene and the item was safely removed.
STV NewsA statement read: “The cordon has been removed from Aberdeen Beach Esplanade following a report of a suspected unexploded ordnance yesterday.
“Officers from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team attended and removed the item.
“Members of the public are thanked for their co-operation.”
