A92 closed and 15-mile diversion in place following two-vehicle crash

Two vehicles were involved in a collision on Wednesday morning on the busy Fife to Dundee road.

The A92 has been closed and a 15-mile diversion has been put in place following a two-vehicle crash in Fife.

The crash occurred around 11am on Wednesday morning near Kilmany.

The A92, a busy route through Fife, has been closed in both directions between the B946 and the Cupar turn-off.

Traffic Scotland said motorists should take an alternative route via the A914 through Cupar.

An SFRS spokesperson confirmed three appliances were deployed to the scene.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 11.09am to attend a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A92, near Kilmany.

“We dispatched three ambulances, a special operations response team (SORT) and a trauma team to the scene.”

A police spokesperson said: “The A92 is closed in both directions at Kilmany, Fife, following a crash involving two vehicles, reported to us around 11.10am this morning, Wednesday, July 29.

“Emergency services are in attendance, and motorists should avoid the area.”
