A90 closed in both directions following 'serious' collision

Drivers have been told to expect delays while an initial investigation takes place.

The A90 has been closed in both directions near Dundee following a serious collision.

Emergency services attended the scene of the crash near Clepington roundabout, at around 11.09pm on Thursday.

Traffic Scotland reported that the road between Coupar Angus Interchange and Strathmartine Roundabout remained closed as of 6.50am on Friday.

Drivers are being urged to use an alternative route if possible.

It is not known at this stage whether there were any injuries as a result of the incident.

A spokesperson for Traffic Scotland said: “The A90 Kingsway is CLOSED in both directions between Coupar Angus Interchange and Strathmartine Roundabout due to a serious collision.

“Police and Ambulance is currently on scene.”

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
