Police are investigating after 66 lambs were stolen from fields in Aberdeenshire using a livestock trailer.

Officers say the lambs were stolen from the Blackhill area of Peterhead between noon and 3am on January 29.

22 lambs were taken from the field adjacent to the Howe of Buchan Roundabout, and a further 44 from the field adjacent to Blackhill House.

A Ford Ranger-type vehicle with a large three-axle livestock trailer was used during the robbery.
