Thieves have stolen equipment from an ambulance parked at a hospital in Aberdeenshire.

It is believed to have been unlocked when the items were taken at Kincardine Community Hospital in Stonehaven on December 17.

Police said the equipment, which is thought to be worth around £50, is not a danger to the public.

A spokesman said: "This is an unusual crime for the area and we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area around the time of the theft.

"Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you wish to remain anonymous."
