A woman was shocked to spot a stag wandering around a housing estate in the Highlands.
Fariba Hodgson, 50, from Ayr, got a surprise when she spotted some horns wandering around a housing estate in Kinlochleven, Lochaber.
After investigating further, she found herself face to face with a male deer as it wandered around a housing estate before disappearing into nearby woodland.
Fariba said: “I usually climb mountains and see the deer from afar, but I had a day on the ground doing photography around Glencoe and found myself in Kinlochleven.
“I noticed the horns at the top of the houses just wandering around and had to capture him.
“He wandered about the houses then went into the woodland then strolled down onto the grass area, he looked to be right at home eating grass.
“It was a very special three minutes of my life where I connected with such a wild glorious animal of the Scottish highlands.
“You usually see deer in Glencoe, however the one I was lucky to have a moment with in Kinlochleven was quite special.”
