A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a golf ball on a course on the Isle of Harris.
The Scottish Ambulance Service responded to the injury alongside HM Coastguard at the Scarista Golf Club after 4.47pm on Wednesday, August 7.
Teams from Harris coastguard responded but the patient was in the care of ambulance crews by the time they arrived.
The woman was taken to Western Isles Hospital to be treated for the injury.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 4.47pm on Wednesday to attend an incident at the Isle of Harris Golf Club and transported one patient to Western Isles Hospital.”
An HM Coastguard spokesperson said: “Scottish Ambulance requested assistance from HM coastguard for a casualty with a head wound at Scarista Golf Club in the Isle of Harris shortly after 5.15pm on Wednesday, August 7.
“Harris coastguard rescue team attended however the casualty had been transported to the ambulance for onward travel to hospital.”
